Making Food Changes Easy

None of us want to be deprived! If we feel deprived on our ‘healthy eating regime’ we will quit. Knowing how to let healthy eating be easy, satisfying and fun means you can stay on track with your goals and make progress!

How will we do that?

MORE and LESS Principles

  • More protein, good fats and fiber (we will feel full and satisfied)
  • Less processed carbs, grains and sugar (we will lose unwanted fat, strengthen our brains and have more energy)

chochipcookiesEasy Chocolate Chip Cookies

(Gluten-free and sugar-free but oh so good!)

2 ¾ cup almond flour

½ tsp salt

½ baking soda

½ cup oil (melted coconut or other healthy oil)

½ c. brown rice syrup*

1 TBL vanilla

½ cup chocolate chips

½ c. chopped pecans

 

Mix dry ingredients. Add the liquid. Stir in the chips and nuts.

Drop cookies on parchment-lined sheet.

Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes

Makes 18-20 cookies

* Note: brown rice syrup is lower on the glycemic scale (blood sugar indicator). It can be found in health food stores.
