Homemade Play Dough For Kids

Need a fun activity when kids can’t get outside?  This play dough is easy to make and only cost pennies to make!

 Play Dough Ingredients:

  • ¼ c. cool water, approx.
  • 2 ½ tsp oil
  • Play Doughfood coloring, optional (about ½ tsp)
  • 1 c. plain white flour

 Play Dough Directions:

  1. Add coloring to water if you are using it.  Mix water and oil together.
  2. Gradually add water to the flour to get it to form a ball.  Knead dough about 8-10 minutes or until it turns from hard and lumpy to smooth and elastic.
  3. Store in airtight container in fridge.

Note:  Great for kids projects.  If you don’t aid coloring, kids can make plaques or ‘objects of art!’ and then pain with regular paint after they are partially dried.
