Have Your Cake and Eat It, Too!

Ever just want something rich and chocolaty?  Looking ahead a full day of activities the thought of a regular breakfast just didn’t appeal.  A friend sent me a new recipe for Chocolate
Birthday Cake shake.

That brought back so many childhood memories of eating chocolate birthday cake for breakfast the ‘next day.’  Loved those luscious bites of my mom’s cakes (no store-bought for us that many decades ago!).

I decided, to go make April’s version and see how it matched up.  It is so yummy and enjoying it right now.  Yes, it is possible to have your cake and eat it too and have no guilt what-so-ever!!

There are so many ways to enjoy life without giving into guilt or deprivation.  Seems that friends are often the authors of those options if we are listening.  Let’s listen today and see what shows up!

Dark Chocolate Birthday Cake Shake

8 oz. chocolate milk (I use unsweetened almond milk)

6 ice cubes

2 rounded scoops of Vi Protein Shake (this one does make a difference)

2 TBL cocoa (I like Penzy’s cocoa)

1 TBL Barlean’s Olive Leaf Complex (awesome antioxidant — -if you don’t have it use mint flavoring to taste)

Blend in blender and enjoy a real birthday treat any time!!!

Options:  less cocoa if you like a milder chocolate taste (that would probably only be for men!), add coconut oil or flavoring for an ‘almond joy’ sensation.  Dip some strawberries in for a great experience.  Just enjoy!!!
