3 EASY Solutions to Stressed Nerves

One of the most common results of stress is a ‘nervous system on edge!’  You know the feeling . . . overwhelm, edgy, impatient, snapping, can’t sleep. . . the list is endless!   A stressed nervous system impacts your weight, immune function, hormones and brain. That is very expensive!!

These 3 Easy Solutions can totally change the status of your nerves. They are so easy you might overlook them – – DON’T!  Step out, implement Easy and feel yourself relax!

Step 1           Breathe!

Holding your breath, shallow breathing signals the body to move into stress ~ NOW!  Relaxed breathing signals the body to relax ~ NOW! Your choice!

Practice breathing in for a count of 4, hold for 2 counts and exhale for 4 counts. Do this 6 times (1 minute) and you can feel your body begin to immediately relax!  Take time to develop the habit of doing this throughout your day.

Step 2           R&R Pose

This simple 15-minute pose helps flip the switch from stressed to relaxed. It is equivalent to 4 hours of rest. What a great way to invest 15 minutes anytime!  It’s a great ‘pick me up’ in the middle of the afternoon that will totally refresh you for the rest of the day!
